So… I'm currently calculating a lot on the Hamming code, mainly for practice, but a thought hit me and I googled it but I want more of a discussion than just all the pdf's I found.

Technically, wouldn't it be possible to make a really good compression based on the Hamming code?? I mean, it could be really really small and still lossless, practically.

Or, am I totally wrong here and far off from anything sane?^^
