guys i have a IE that won't let me use internet because of the so called VIRUS. it even have a link to a virus remover. but i don't want to give my financial details to an unknown software. I think it might be hackers trying to get me to give them my financial info. It's preventing me from doing system restore, cmd prompt, and other stuff. how can i fix this problem?

I know that putting your financial information anywhere won't fix this problem. Ever. Never ever. Never ever ever.

Anyway, I'm not sure I fully understand what you're saying. You can't get on the internet, yet there's a form (presumably… on the internet?) that's asking you for personal details to help remove the bug? What happens when you try to open cmd or… shudder… IE? Full on system restores are rarely the answer, so I won't even bother asking about them. Or will I?

Anyway, you could always use a different computer to download Avast! or similar free anti-virus/virus scanner, put it on a flash drive, and then run it on your machine. Unless you're not able to run anything on your machine. But you are, so I guess these last two sentences are completely useless.

Edit: Wait… what the fuck? You can't use the internet, yet you post this. Here. On the internet? Now I know I don't understand the internetz as much as I should, but doesn't that seem a bit… off? Or is it on?

You seem like the kind of guy who'd fall victim to something like this

Fresh install, go with mac or linux.

You sir are plain awesome haha. You actually fell for the oldest trick in the books. I guess we all fall for something stupid once.

Never ever ever give out your bank account details to fix anything.. Use your knowledge behind the operating system your using to browse all files and delete suspicious things. Task manager etc.

These things should be programmed into your brain wanting to become a \"hacker\" and all.

I\'m happy to see you have fixed your problem but come on man. Have a bit of common sense. I have had to fix plenty of computer whom users are obsessed with clicking on links that say \"omg you have a virus\" \"hide porn from your parents with this tool\" etc etc. Just be cautious man.

I am in no way insulting you just giving you some advice.
