Application Cracking

Okay, I have a new suggestion. This time, for application cracking. Most of the application cracking challenges are not really cracking, in my opinion. It's more of just searching for the password or making a button work. My suggestion is that we find a good old shareware version of a game (or application) and the challenge is that they have to crack it so it works as full version. They can then send the cracked version to an admin (or me :p ) who will check it to make sure it has been cracked and works properly. I have a suggestion for a game, but more suggestions would be great.

My suggestion is Hamsterball Gold, which I have cracked and it's not too hard.

we can only promite legal activites and cracking on this site. so that means, HBH coded only challenges.

Well it was worth a try anyway.

I have made a tiddly tiny applescript which has a dialog with a password box. I managed to crack it and find the password, which proves it can be done. I would class it as "Easy".

Shall I send it to someone?

Maybe instead of a real game, someone could make a program that would mimick a shareware problem, such as the nag box. Those aren't too hard to crack, and we don't have a nag box application challenge yet.
