how to make a good sig

i made myself a sig but it is CRAP. i made it in digital image pro 9 and in paint. i dont have photoshop, and i was looking for something similer and free, free being the key word. i tryed googleing how to make one, but i didnt get anything that helped. could anyone give me a link to a good site or a good alternitive to photoshop? thanks alot

dont throw everything at it for a start. Use only a few renders etc… like cooking if you throw in loads of ingredienctes then people dont noice any of the thier flavours. Try making things from scratch, making a sig isnt knowing how to make someitng look good but know what looks good. Each image is completely different so if you make many sigs how can you apply the same technique to get a brilliant effect? you cant but if you stop when you do have one it will be good.

Meh, the longer you spend on it the better it will be. Simple as that.

actually thats not true… some times when you spend no time on it it looks better. when you think it doesnt work just keep going maybe later itll work into it..
