I just got CS3 today and I noticed that you cant do animations on it like CS2 or any others. Can someone with good graphic editing tell me good programs for animation and designs? ;)

I think ImageReady and PhotoShop kind of go together. IR has a 1 day trial, so you probably want a torrent. Or you can spend $600. Or you can reverse engineer their trial.

Here's my tip, download Adobe Web Premium CS3 and keygen it. And you can actually do animation in photoshop cs3, they got rid of image ready and put the imageready functions into photoshop now.

Although I suggest you look at using Flash if you want to do any serious animation.

i dont see why everyone fusses over the latest graphic software. Unless you are a professional graphic designer then most of photoshop CS3 will never be utilised. Sure, better tools can help, but in the end it comes down to the creativity and skill of the artist.

I'm aware of a few pros that dont have the latest versions as well (because of the price tag) and to be honest, they can produce just as good work as anybody else. why not try using paper for a change? As fun as filters are, they wont help you get better as an artist.

end rant.

as for animation, gifs are going out, big time. no one wants to see some random pixels flashing at you.

for smooth and respectable animations go towards flash (where i believe that you can also export as a gif if you really want to.)

Um, wow, that was a great paragraph or two, and seriously necr0six, you are an excellent artist (just from your Sig and Ava)

The only reason I haven't officially gone pro yet is that I lose amateur status which I need to get scholarships in skillsUSA… Other than that I'm of a high enough level that there are only a couple tools I'm not familiar with(Note and another one I thought was next to useless)

I still dont see why everyone wants to create these animations!? The only vaguely respectable reason would be for IM emotions but that is still lame.

so, people of hbh, show me the light.

(i'm talking about gif, not swf)

Well necr0six personally I use animation on my website as an attention getter in advertising on friends sites and also on avatars, signature…etc

hellboundhackersok wrote: Um, wow, that was a great paragraph or two, and seriously necr0six, you are an excellent artist (just from your Sig and Ava) I kind of agree with necr0six. I'm not too great, but if you are just making a sig or avatar like most of the ones here, you can easily get away with using photoshop 7.0 or something. And no offense, but your avatar must be the most generic thing possible for a hacking website. And is that matrix code in your sig?

necr0six wrote: I still don't see why everyone wants to create these animations!? Its a good thing to know because a lot of people don't. Makes it easy to impress someone in the business world because you don't have to be good, just better than them. And for the web, simple is often what's needed - so encouragement comes quickly.
