permenantly banned from irc network?

hi i figured i would connect to your IRC channel since it would be nice to talk to some educated people in real time. Anyway i clicked on the link on home page to connect and this is the message i get in IRC:

If you read the no reason part i don't know why i would be banned from a network for no reason? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

were you using tor?

we've banned LOTS of tor nodes

So that when people really do get banned they can't get back in. Thats my guess.

Also for Practice_123, you might be using someone else's old IP. Someone else that had that IP before you got banned, and now you have it. This happened to me and some other guy on a forum one time. back on ole crappy AOL. :xx:

Try to get a different IP, and set it to static. I know theres a way to do this in Command prompt but It don't completely remember how anymore.

I just know that command was "ipconfig"

just type in "ip config ?/" for list of usages for it.

What you are looking for is ipconfig /? but as far as I know, that only works for internal addresses, as your external IP is controlled by your ISP. If you are on a non-static address, just reconnect and it should change.

and how do i know if im on a non-static IP ?

Check your plan with your ISP. As far as I know most broadband connections these days are static, but it all depends on your ISP.

We've banned tor nodes because we don't allow proxies, since we have ssl, and the ponly reason you'd need a proxy is to ban evade.

Yes, odds are you're sitting on a ban that someone else had in place.

Try to connect next time you're on, if you can't get on then PM me you IP and i'll have it unbanned.

And the reason why "hbh" can't unban him is that hbh doesn't own the server, and in fact the chan and hbh aren't really al that affiliated any more.
