Your looking for a "web proxy" like at anonymizer.com (top right hand corner of page where it says private surfing). This works because it masks your url……

but chances are these types of sites are blocked by the filter also. Most filters like this are auto-updated with a new database manually.

correction - auto-updated nightly - no manual invovlved - not sure where that came from.
