.Net is right up my alley but i prefer VB.net over C#.

C# is more versatile and easier to go to C++ or something like it. VB is, well, BASIC. Both are very useful at that, but kinda bad form.

My dad's been teaching visual graphics for a long time (Maya too, but I think they switched to Rhino after 2006. Costs.). If you have a question, I could probably get it answered.
