Building my PC

Alright i was building a pc and i had to send the motherboard back because it was a dead board so i was just wondering if the paste on the heat sink and CPU are still good because its been in a box and its not fresh, i was just wondering if i have to buy new paste and would it hurt it to just use that old paste again and continue building, because the paste was preapplied on the heatsink.

It should be fine. Although it could not be. :)

Well the paste doesn't get too old just like that (it's meant to be there for years, you know ;)). It'll be okay.
