timer in visual basic

I'm trying to make a timer that I can set the time interval in a textbox after the application is running and not just set it before. I don't want preset times, but more along the lines where the user can set any time they want. All they have to do is type it.

timer1.interval=text1.text

Just make simple loop that will retrieve the shit.
