i have tried to get php to work on vista for the past 3 hours now. could anyone plz help me out on this. i would be eternally grateful. if not i might need to try a more permanent solution, such as amputation at the neck

lol, don't do the amputation (yet). I'm running vista on my laptop at the moment and php works fine with it.

I just downloaded and installed Wamp, it installs apache, php, and mysql all together for you, it's easier than doing everything separately. http://www.wampserver.com/en/

you can get Enginsite PHP editor.It has PHP enabled, after you installed it. or,xampp is a good little php /MYsql server too. its kinda like the 1 mentioned above.

if you are just using the CLI, download php. And then specify the path you put it in when you write your php app. And then go to the command line and run php filename.php. Takes like, 2 seconds. I just sent upstairs and did it on my sister's windows machine.
