Many people think Visual Basic is a good language for beginners since it's very easy. I started with C++, and I've never regretted that. You can begin with any language you want, but you should probably stick to a wellknown language since there are more tutorials about those and more people who can help you with it.

Well… It mostly depends on what you feel comfortable with. A lot of people say Python - but its your own personal opinion whether you like it or not.

I'm also very new to programming myself - and i'm starting with C++. For me Currently its alright to learn - but when i was first learning i had trouble taking on some of the concepts - but if you keep at it, it will come.

Hope this helped alittle -EA

C++ was also my first programming language and I understood it quite good. I had the great tutorial that comes with VCC 6.0. It really explained everything perfectly clear. Then I started doing some projects, competition, etc. and I got good at it B)

P.S. Oh, yea btw… I had a competition in programming just few hours ago and I did quite well.(the computer was screwed so it lost me some time and I didnt have enough in the end to do all the problems)

Well, I started with "Qbasic" lol. :D

But I can say that I am very good at VB6.

I am learning C/C++ (It is little hard in beginning and I am lazy)

Also learning HTML, Javascript …

Start With C/C++

And If U R Starting With C++ Or Any Other OOPS Language, Do Read Grady Booch's Object Oriented Programming Language

You Will Know Later What OOPS Is…
