So, anyone got any specifit types of music they listen to when coding? Post 'em here. Personally, it depends on what i'm writing, most of the time I'll listen to Alt. Rock, but theres times when i'll listen to Radiohead or similar stuff.

I usually listen to songs that always distract me from my work, it seems to keep me sharp for when there are real distractions around, and what I mean by that is I listen to really catchy lyrics or songs that I like that I can't help but follow along to in my head. I usually listen to Punk Rock/Pop Rock/Emo , I extremely despise all screamo music seeing as it serves no real purpose other than giving someone money to scream like an idiot >.>

I guess I should've been more specific and said like Death Metal as well, but in my statement I include bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Satyricon, Children of Bodom (no matter how badass their guitar is), Lamb of God, etc.

I hope you didn't just refer to death metal and screamo as the same thing….

Anyway, I listen to a little bit of almost everything. Everything good, anyway :P (Rock/Metal/Techno/90's dance music/etc.)

I was implying the screaming in Death Metal, not a synonym for eachother. :p I will pretty much listen to anything except for bands you can't understand WTF they're saying and have no talent whatsoever when it comes to singing.

I agree with Caity. I have no problem understanding the lyrics. But back on topic I listen to various types. Mostly Rock and Metal.:happy:

Usually techno or some kind of trance. Generally consisting of The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy or Crystal Method. Sometimes Cirrus too. =]

Children of Bodom are easy to understand, take "Downfall" for instance…

"The night of timeless fire is drawing near, I flee blah blah blah"

Point proven :)

Rockon ;) it's good to listen to a variety of music…as for the whole "not being able to understand what they're saying" deal, if you can't understand them, try harder…and believe it or not, most "screamo" bands are way more comprehensible than a lot of the "rap" they play these days…

So, to actually answer the question of the topic, I listen to a huge variety of things, ranging from Sheryl Crow to Haste The Day… ^_^

I listen to Rock/Pop Rock/Punk Rock/Emo mostly but others too. I don't like Rap at all I'm my opinion…

rap="rap" c="c" rap=c+rap print rap

Hehe, well coding is in the topic :P And that's only my opinion I respect that people have a complete opposite opinion to that :)
