Installing PHP and Apache

Ok when im on the php.net website i try to download php and when i click the download it comes up as an icon which you cant double click on! (dont know the correct phrase lol)

anyway i was wondering if anyone knows why, what i need to download or where i can get a different one from.

The Apache one is weird for me too, when i go to a download mirror it just comes up with dir's…

for new people to apache and php and mysql you should download xampp , it's what i first did

don't install some bullshit wamp manager.

get apache 2.0, get php 5.2, get zend 3.2 and you're set.

install in that order and you will have no problem
