could anyone tell me where i could find the correct tools for C++, because every time i try to use the download free things for C++ online they always cause problems

Dev-C++ is NOT a compiler. It is an IDE, MingW is the compiler.

Yeah, it's an IDE… Editor, Compiler and Something Else (I'm tired, brain's of work :P)
