I'm hosting a programming competition
- You must code your application yourself (or as a team)
- The application can be written in any programming language
- The application must not be mailicious (no viruses, trojans, backdoors and stuff)
- Making your application easy to use is positive
- The application should somehow be useful in common situations
- Good commenting of source code is appreciated
- I judge the entrys, no whining about unfair results if you don't agree
Hi all.
I've talked with some friends, and we thought it would be fun with a programming competition :). Therefore, I arrange one on my own, open for anyone who wants to join.
The rules are simple:
You must code your application yourself (or as a team)
The application can be written in any programming language
The application must not be mailicious (no viruses, trojans, backdoors and stuff)
Making your application easy to use is positive
The application should somehow be useful in common situations
Good commenting of source code is appreciated
I judge the entrys, no whining about unfair results if you don't agree
All participants will get their nickname and a link to their website posted on a special page on my site, so even if you're new to programming this could be a good way to get some more traffic to your site and make people recognize your name.
The winner will get his nickname, avatar and a link posted on my front page, and his/her application will be available for download on the site.
***** This programming competition is not related to HBH in any way, no points on HBH will be awarded *****
If you want to join, check out the programming competition page.

If you have a good idea for a console based application then try it :) And btw who doesn't use JtR for DES cracking? What I mean is that it isn't impossible to make a wonderful console app, I'm looking forward to see whatever you code :p

I meant I have no ideas for the program, not that I don't want to make a console based one… If I come up with anything before the comp ends I'll do it
