Computerized random... who heard of such a thing?

I thought is was just something to think about. How do computers generate random numbers, I assume it is from various different conditions, but I am curious if we can predict these randomized numbers some how.

As far as I know it is impossible for computers to create truly random numbers. They can how ever create sudo random numbers. The generally are created using the system time on computer and an algorithim.

[edit] You can predict an out come if you know the algorithim and the exact time that will be used in the algorithim. It has supposedly been done in Las Vegas. You can read about it in one of Kevin Mitnicks Books.

That was kinda what I was thinking also, was in casinos, and some various computer encryptions.
