i wrote a couple of php pages for a site im developing, and when i uploaded them to the sever and surfed to it the were weird symbols everywhere. dont know why.. any help?

HBH had (might still have) that problem for a while.

never really understood why, although im fairly sure its a server problem.

also if its pulling form a mysql db, check the encoding you've set it to, incase you only select alpha-numerical etc etc
