New Language

well, im looking to broaden my knowlegde and learn to do something new, and so the first thing i want to do is code a login like the one on this site. so my question is what languages do i need to learn, php is the obvious one. But do I need *sql or anything else to make it show?

dude, you've started so many "what is the next step" and "what do you think of my music/code/whatever" threads. I think the next step for you is to find out how to find information on your own.

please, just try to get a general idea of how some of the programming reservoirs of information are distributed. And maybe find some local hacking/programming/tech/ communities. It will pay off in time.

I think I feel like a lone wolf here to recommend ASP.Net ……. But then that's what my web development class in college I just took was using…. SO it's what I'm more comfortable with right now.;)

he is not a newbie i think that we need to respect a bit more the persons who dedicate their free time to post a new thread so we can comment. btw you need to learn php and mysql but coding a site login is not a 2 programming languages combination you will also need html and css…
