Windows Vista Security Worthless

Seems two researchers have beaten vista security by finding a flaw in vista structure, not just something Windows can patch overnight eh….
People dont like Vista because of some of the reasons you guys mentioned on top of the nostalgia to moving to a totally new OS. Many people feel at home with XP because of its widespread use and versatility. Once XP really starts to fade away people are going to have to get used to Vista (or an alternate OS) Frankly after using it (Vista) and adapting to it ive grown quite fond of some of its features. Linux is also making some moves to attract the bigger market but hasnt gotten far…
I'm tired of idiots putting down vista without putting any thought into it. Most of these people have little or no personal experience, and they are just mimicing what they've heard from someone else. Vista has its flaws like every new OS. Look back to the beginning of xp. It was no better in the beginning; people said the same things about xp then as they are now about vista. In a few years vista will become the standard and everyone will be comfortable with it and then a new OS will come out that everyone hates.
devilsson2010 wrote: Yea, heard about that. THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR GETTING VISTA IDIOTS!! XP 4 LIFE!!! People dont really have much of a choice dumbass. When you buy a new computer it comes with vista. Not everyone has a copy of xp laying around and not everyone knows how to install it. Not to mention that some people actually like to give new things a try. devilsson2010 wrote: If you think about it, Vista was a failure from the beginning, Look how many copies have been sold. Failure? Obviously not. devilsson2010 wrote: $1 for a hacked version in china town, lol!! So what? You can buy a cracked version of just about anything in chinatown for near nothing.
Just to add most people say vista sucks because they are afraid of change. Vista may have it's flaws but so did XP as stated earlier. MS I'm sure will fix it sooner or later. I have it in vmware on one of my test boxes so I can mod it out like I did on XP. Hell I still have customers who still run win98, Too afraid to upgrade!

Exactly, I remember when people all wanted to stick to windows 98 when xp first came out. Vista is improving slowly, service pack 1 came out just a few days ago i believe.
Also, if I recall correctly someone found a serious flaw in mac's security as well in their new OS. Something to do with safari. So it just goes to show that it's not an uncommon thing to have flaws in the beginning of an OS's life.
EDIT: I'm not a windows devotee. Just thought I should make that clear.
