Hi, i created this account years ago but i only really used it day before yesterday as i decided i was actually interested… i am also interested in starting to program and have looked around at some languages like C, C++, C# and VB etc, however none really jumped out at me so i was wondering if you had any advice?

thanks.

Thank you to all that replied after your nod in the right direction i have decided upon C++. :)

What do you want to do with a programming language, and what's your basic, overall computing skill.

well to be honest i want to program things to help me in day to day life (so to speak) my own tools for app cracking and so on i know i have alot to learn before i get this far but i need to start somewhere…

as for my skill level i've done a fair chunk of the HBH challenges:- basic 1-6 all of the rooting and flash as well as some of the app cracking ones. in other areas i'd say i'm ok with most things… know a fair bit of HTML and i'm a fairly quick learner….

Look around at the local libary (no, not on your HDD's libary), or see around on the net for e-books. (try this one.)

Great site for learning stuff. As for exploitation you realize them as you program and get a grasp on the concepts of securing your code. It's at that point you start getting things, and it starts to click
