looking for open source programs. (unix)

hey i was wondeing if anybody could send me a .zip or .rar file with a C/C++ open source program that is meant for unix. I am looking for some basic - medium level programs involving glade or socket programming. No VC++ please because i am using GCC on unix. Thanks for anybody who does this. I am asking people on here because they will probably be easier to under stand and wont be heavily complex. Thanks :)

What are you talking about? You just want to look at the source of some Unix applications written in C? You could look at FreeBSD's kernel, the pkg_add application, wget, cd, ls, cat, FTP..

Most applications in base distrobutions are written in C.

well i want stuff involving glade…and sockets…well wget but i was hoping for real apps that other people made….like irc clients(basic ones) and stuff like that

What you're looking for is source forge. You should be able to filter the search down until only *.nix based c++ programs are left.
