hi, i am making a content management system. It will probably be for a similar web challenge page. I allready made a begining with conn.php,setup.php,functions.php,http.php,config.php,header.php,footer.php. These files are for forum :) and after i make forum i will make a cms that runs with it :) well the cms will have similar things to zeroidentitys.

Anyone wants to join me? and my project? add me on msn- shooteris@hotmail.co.uk :)

Reality is a bitch.

Definately not a dude.

I donno, I probably could sit down and pound out a fully functional CMS, but it would take too long. I'd probably just use PHP fusion, and edit it how I needed it.

all the cms projects that ive tried here fail in the first week because:

  • people cant be bothered..they think its going to be a couple of week thing
  • people dont communicate well enough
  • people dont know what they are supposed to do
  • people arnt as good at coding as they say they are

and many many more.

if you want to do something, find a couple of friends in real life. scary, i know. then you can actually talk about it properly. Plan it with some decent targets and all together make it better, quicker. dont rely on the internet for everything.

anyway, just "making a cms" is pointless, sure, you can learn something but really, why use it when there are so many better ones out there? Im sure the admins here could make one, but really, where is the need? It can be customised to make it individual and is a decent platform to start off with. Dont make things harder than they already are.

How do you know? Have you seen code written by all of them?

There's a lot of people who know things here, but most of the people just say they do.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just trying to be a dick. Feel me?

First of all, system is a coding expert, end of story.

Second, by making another challenge site doesn't meen ur trying to compete with HBH, some people do it becuase they feel HBH doesn't meet their expected requirements.

Third, buying a piece of code, or even trying to then lie in forum will get you nowhere, you just loose peoples respect if that is you had any.

Fourth and most important: Learn the shit your trying to do first! I recon you didn't have any skills in coding at all by just reading your post, how do you think the filenames would help any?

Theres two major things u probably haven't found: Google, w3schools.

Mod: please lock this thread before someone breaks him down completely! xD

I don't care if he's Linus-fucking-Torvalds, my POINT was that we, as a whole, shouldn't be judging people based on things that we don't know.

So, -cL, unless you've taken a look at code written by each person you feel is a charlatan, you have no grounds on which to form an argument against their ability.

Fusion for president!

It is actually very handy.. You can do whatever you feel with it

thats true. but also, when exploits are released or whatnot, you are kinda fucked. coding a cms by yourself eliminates people just owning you for fun, as they actually have to work for it.
