Trying to learn python
Hello all….
I am trying to learn python and am very new to programming. I am not looking for a mentor. I am just looking for someone who knows python and is willing to help me with my programs by maybe reading through the programs and giving me hints on where to go from where I am. I am currently learning from tutorials online, but trying to get to the best of my abilities. These tutorials are asking me to create some of my own programs, but I keep getting stuck on some things. So maybe not someone to help me with the language, but someone to be like a pen pal or pm pal or on AIM.
The program I am stuck on now is writing a program that will continually add numbers together till they reach 100. I know this sounds like a stupid program and it is, but it is the building blocks to my success with the program.
I am not looking for a partner or someone to tell me answers, just push me in the write direction and maybe some explanations on why it is not working.
If someone chooses to help me out, you will not be the only person, for I am going to school for programming and networking. This means I will not be bugging a person who chooses to help me, since I already have a learning source and will be trying to get help from them also. The reason I have consulted the people of Hellbound Hackers is so I have an outside source for when I am not at school.
Hopefully you won't reject my ignorance completely, but it would be understood if you all did since I am asking for a little much and realize that most of you learned it on your own. Thanks for any considerations of help.

I used http://docs.python.org/tut/node2.html and it was enough to get me through the timed challenges.
I always suggest this one when asked about python: www.diveintopython.org
i've always found this useful http://docs.python.org/lib/
