c++ an extractor

Hi i am quite new to c++ but i know the basics and want to start trying to make useful things now. Where could i start to learn on how to make an extractor from a program…kinda of like a decompiler for a different language. I think it might be possible for what i want to use it for so if anyone has a website or knowledge handy please share

Could you be more specific on what you mean by extractor? Do you mean a resource extractor? Or a decompiler? You mentioned two completely different things.
