First app programming language?

Hello there :)

Up to this point, i've only tought myself some webprogramming like HTML, Javascript etc..

But now i'm interested in learning an application programming language. And i'm wondering, which should i start with ?

C++ , Perl or Java?

BTW, I know a LITTLE (note the Caps lock on little, which means LITTLE!) bit of Python, if that's for any help.

Thanks!

IMO you should keep going with python.

Ye, it's an easy program. But it's so hard to configure on a Windows Machine.

I already got C++ compilator up and running, so i might wanna give that a try.

But it's good as a starting language, right? Or is it any one else who thinks i should stay with python ?

If you'd looked a bit around on the forum, you would've figured out that there's no actual answer to that question..

You could either tell us which project you had in mind (if you had any) and I'm sure someone would be able to tell you which programming language to read up on, or just start to read up on some programming language which you find interesting :)

Well, dude do what you want, but python is NOT hard to configure on windows….

Agreed. I'm learning Python as well, and I had no trouble getting Python to work in Windows. For that matter, what is there to configure for Python in Windows?

its really not important which one you do first, its not like you cant go and learn a second and third etc. afterwards. i learned pascal first which is an outdated language, then i went on to learn java which i like a lot more…
