Thoughts on JAVA

I used to hate JAVA: its runtime isn't open source, so many people don't use it with Linux, it was slow, and seemed inefficient. I've seen that it's getting faster, applets work on the web, etc. I was wondering what you guys(that use JAVA) think about it.

i like to drink java, mocha and latte.

and i thought its open source, plus its always worked great for me, applet or program.

Java is nice because it works on all OS's…

But then again…
