Wanting peoples opinions....
Recently iv seen a lot of stuff thats suggesting that the US government and possibly the UK gov are both getting more and more aggresive towards anyone questioning their rule. A student in florida ask senator john kerry why bush hasnt been impeached and got attacked by the police who then tasered him watch here I suppose you could easily argue that he was "disturbing the peace" or whatever but there isnt really any denying that the police went ott.
The media in both countrys is censored - you are not allowed to talk about certain things from a certain viewpoint. I dont have a clue what goes on behind the scenes in either goverment but im sure it would shock and horrify most people.
New weapons aimed at being a non-lethal alternative to firearms are being developed all the time and because they are non lethal, they can be abused easily such as [urlhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/technology/technology.html?in_article_id=482560&in_page_id=1965] this[/url which seems ok in theory but what if it was used for tortureQ and would you trust a government that has been known for using other "non-lethal" devices to silence people like that studentQ
Most of us will have heard alternative views on some incidents dubbed "conspiracy theorys" to make them sound less credible whcih raise some interesting questions. Such as the 9/11 conspiracy which i dont want to get into a debate about it but im sure no-one can really deny that Bush didnt tell the entire truth
idk what to think really but i cant help getting the feeling that both governments are heading towards being totaltarian.
anyone here agree/disagree with meQ

Some sort of reasoning or supporting argument might've given this post some actual weight. Currently, it just looks like a lazy piggyback post.
As far as I'm concerned, spyware does have a good point in that, soon, the leaders causing the problems will not be involved anymore. Furthermore, the move towards a totalitarian government would have to be done reasonably (according to a majority) and very slowly in order to be successful, which seems as though it would defeat the very term "totalitarian" in the process.
There's just not enough chance of widespread acceptance for totalitarian government to even be a possibility in those countries.
if you truly believe that bush is the one running the US than enjoy, but i really dont believe he is.
political leaders always were and always will be puppets. Controlled by those who actually have power. they are used as distractions and manipulations. do you really believe that someone like bush could gain power on his own if he were really as dumb as he is…? if you look at speeches he gave as governer, rather than president… he was very articulate and intelligent…. now, why would that change?… distraction. the american people (and yes, im american too, so stfu) just spend their time complaining about that, rather than asking the hard questions.
now… who you ask is in power? that's the hard question… if we knew, they wouldnt be very good at what they did…. perhaps corporate leaders. religious fantatics, perhaps even an alien race (that one is a joke. :D )….
i leave you to ponder the rest. … just my thoughts

Its not just Bush, its a policy, and everyone keeps running on this policy.
There are reasons why things need to be covered up, its not just the US and UK covering things up about what happens behind the scenes. The Russians are notorious for doing this, as are the Chinese and Japanese, fuck it everyone does it. There are viable reasons for this. One is that if you don't need to know, why should you? Another is that if you did know you would probably get the wrong end of the stick, panic and cause a Civil War. If, say the intelligence services had to publish everything they do, why and how, then there would be no point in them, any idiot could plan a terrorist attack or a war against us then.
As for the student that got attacked by police: yeah, maybe this is wrong, but all the same if you take the power of policing away from the police you have 11 year old children being shot in the street like we do here in the UK.
In the UK we live in a "multicultural society" supposedly, what this means is that we have people from all over the world living here, not all of them owe their allegiances to the UK. So they can not all be trusted. Hell Usama probably lives here in a small cottage living off fine British foods. Because we are multicultural this means that some have more of an idea of the way the UK works, has worked than others, it would be like this anyway but it enhances my point. The Russian air force is currently flying their useless out of date bombers within inches of our airspace. Anyone in Britain who knows anything about global affairs last century probably doesn't give a shit, partly because these bombers could be shot down by a 9year olds BB gun, and because they were used to it from the cold war. Should someone not know this however they might feel more threatened by Russia and feel that a war is coming, panic or something. Even if we will have a war with Russia soon, we don't need to panic about it now.
I could go into 9/11 conspiracy's now if anyones still reading? :s well basically most of them fall apart, face it, AL QAEDA did it! if the US killed 3000+ of their own people on that day, do you really think they would think twice about killing that kid who came up with Loose Change. See my point?
Anyway yeah, goverments covering shit up is good, attacking students is bad, be it with tanks or tasers. however fun it might be.
@koolkeith Everything you posted I've seen or heard of before. Whats even more scary is that nothing is being done about it.
Bush wont be re-elected because he can't be… but how the fuck did he get into power in the 1st place? I've seen and heard a lot of sketchy things about voting fraud. who's to say the next president wont be someone with the same agenda?
Republicans=the fall of mankind
Thats messed up what they did to that guy . I dont think he deserved that at all ! He should of fopped as many of those little rent a dicks in the mouth as he could !
There trashing rights plain and simple ! What happened to freedom of speech ?!
Somebody said :
"This will all change when bush isnt in office!"
No way . This has been going on for far to long to change over night !
Somebody else said :
"The president is just a puppet!" (In so many words)
I agree with this . Corporate america is GOD . The rest are just pawns and puppets to do there bidding . They use the media to push there propaganda , to deliver news of scary things to keep a certain level of fear in there people . Power is gained by force , but is maintained by fear ! Keeping under thumb ! Not even in the 70's could millions of teenagers protesting the Vietnam war could stop the will of Big Brother ! They ordered shootings and beatings of those protesters across america . It will never change and for one reason there arent enough people have the balls to stand up and fight it ! To stop the monster that has become it would take a large united front to make any difference . But most people just run off at the mouth when they see this but if it came down to a real revolution !? Most would turn the backs and go back to Counter Strike !
Seriously how much of this shit do we have to see across the planet before we say enough is enough !? Hmmm ? Hasnt there been enough already ? Enough murdered over some bullshit religions ? Christians , Catholics , Muslims , all of witch killed in the name of god & peace ! If thats what there Gods want then fuck there Gods ! Some may think getting onto religion is a bit off track but its not , religion is the backbone of almost all governments . Im also making an example of otrositys we see every day ! How many lies do we have to be told before we open our eyes and mouths and stand up against it !?
Heres a more important question ! How come Osama Bin Laden is the suposed person behind 9/11 and Bush hasnt done anything relevant to get him ? Yet america is in Iraq trying to force them to change who they are as a society . How does Iraq have anything to do with 9/11 ? Nothing . Theres always something corporate behind every major altercation america gets themselves involved in . So what is it this time ? What do the big wigs see to gain by this ? Money through oil !? Maby .!?
Ever since 9/11, everyone's just become insecure and paranoid. As such, government gets more edgy. If people say "Government is bad and should be changed", government get angry and scared. Then they fight back.
It's the way of the world. The way I see it, the US just want domination over the world by any means necessary. World peace is great and all, but all these stupid wars they're causing and laws they're making make me wonder how we can call this the age of Civilization.
