At the moment I think techno is the best but what bands under techno would you recommend? I have not found any good ones yet, but for my videos I have been using hacker game music :)

Choking Victim, No Ca$h, The Prodigy, System of a Down, Dir En Grey, pretty much anything you like and that you don't have to think about while doing something.

Anyone know of any that they don't sing in?

strongly disagree.

power metal is good. e.g: blind guardian, iron maiden, demons and wizards.

hardstyle is fine.

ambient music is good if what you're doing isn't so intense.

heck, it all depends on what music you're into. I say listen to what pumps you up or cools you down the most, depending on which makes you work more efficiently.

I like Ferry corsten, DJ Andy C, Infected Mushroom and a few more but the ultimate hacking music has gotta be this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=QjA5faZF1A8 it starts off slow but picks up after a few secs and if you like it i'll upload the mp3 ;)

Shit Techno blows ass!!! Sleazoid and Der Heiligen got the shit there but left out Slayer and static-x as well as some old school shit I like too.. Nuclear assault, testament,Exodus, iron maiden etc…

I personally like stuff like RATM, SOAD and all that stuff, for stuff like videos and all, and maybe pen-testing a site…

But if I'm actually trying to do something well or if something requires a lot of effort I turn off all music to try

I listen to an array of classical (beethoven, handel etc) crystal method, pink floyd etc.

nice slayer + static-x…. love it :D

personally im really really reeeeeeeeely into power/progressive metal bands (DragonForce, Symphony X, Nocturnal Rites, Rhapsody, Kamelot, Liquid Tension Experiment) and SOO many others - also, as far as techno goes i find it REALLY hard to find techno music that isnt actually meant as trip-out music. any1 got anythin good for me??? :radio:

yes i know SOOO many bands which have no singing at all - if ur into metal and speed metal… stuff like that, then i would recommend Michael Angelo Batio (#1 Shredder by Guitar1) or if ur into more chillaxxin metal try Buckethead - also Liquid Tension Experiment has great stuff like this with a combination of chillin and pumpin (starts fast then slows, or vice versa) anyhoooways since i pretty much only know rock/metal thats really all i know to suggest - enjoy

i hear ya man - also - children of bodom is on faves list. i also love Nu-Metal bands like spineshank and ESPECIALLY Bobaflex (though i can never seem to find their albums in stores or from my online 'sources')
