Hack Attack: Battle of the Titans

This is the post to start the roll call for Bouncer and Cheese to contact me. The Drive is imaged(I am making the next competitions Hard Drive ATM) and will be online on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 7:30PM EST. Here is the rules of conduct:

1. This is a shared internet line with my house, there will be no DoS, DDoS, Syn-Flood, Fork Bomb or any other type of attack allowed on the server to attempt to root it.
2. No Ports will be set up to send to the server above 5000 please keep your scans and attacks in that range or you may be harming other machines on my network and ruin the game for all.
3. No destroying the machine. The point of this game it to keep control in your hands by what ever means…That could be getting in and patching how you got in once you have root access, or any other number of ways but the system must stay intact at all times for this competition to run.
4. Once you have gained controll any password changes must be submitted to myself(AldarHawk) once the game is completed so I can fix anything that may have happened.
5. Once the challenge is over the participants MUST submit all attack methods in log, podcast, video or any other format they desire.
6. The player who wins will get braging rights in this challenge (they will get money in future ones)
7. Have fun, learn and keep it safe.

just a thought but could we have a poll set up to see who people think will win?? i think it would be interesting to compare the actual winner to the percentage of votes they got

I agree, it would be cool to be able to vote on who we think will win. Maby the looser can take a pic of him self wearing a kilt or something…lol:happy:

from the last posting that happened on this (7 pages long) it seems that Bouncer is the favourite ;) by about 3:2

I will set a 1 week time limit. If it has not been rooted then I am damn sexy!

And if they do root it I am still sexy!

Anyways. If it does not get rooted then Phase 2 of the Hack Attack takes place :P and I will keep the machine and not change it. Only the said participants will know the IP they are hacking on anyways ;)

hey watch it im scottish and theres nothing wrong with kilts so how about something else funny like the loser has to have in their sig "i got pwned by <name here>" for a couple of months or so

Sounds like fun. in the next sets of them the winner will get part of the pot…this one is no money though since Cheese and Bouncer are good mates of mine. :P
