How fast is your download and how much do you pay for it?

First of all sorry for the long subject… Anyway, I'll start first. My download speed is 1Mbit/s and I'm paying 19 € for it.

4 kbs average + benefits (which include: dropped downloads when going for 3+ hours or mostly less, the ability to go under 1 kbps, several hours of isp downtime, and more!).

I'm not exactly sure how much we pay for it. Probably around $15-$20/month.

My connection f*cking pwns all of yours, lol!

In my country, adsl, is very expensive and I hardly wait for the moment when those ISP of ours will lower their prices!

Damn that's fast, because in the us (and my isp) the fastest i've seen on cable is 10mb. I have a friend in Denmark who said he could get a 1gbps dedicated up and down for around 50 dollars us (equivlent) (including the discount he gets from being in an apartment)

My crappy phone line only suppports 2MB

internet speed tests say 1.9 m/b at the main computer, mine gets only about 1.1 m/b apparently though i have yet to experience actual download speeds over about 300 kbps. I cant remember how much but we probably pay a lot because we are with lovely NTL. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys crap service. (the only thing they were quick about is disconnecting the tv after we told them to stuff it)

I want a decent ISP but all others need a BT phone line and we dont have a good connection. :(

Im with AOL (and keith, you thought you had it bad :p ) but they are giving free double speed so i should have about 2 Mbit/s for £12 a month which i think is alright (apart from actually knowing im with AOL)

6Mbps for $45.

Fastest download I ever got, though, was a ~200Mb ISO image at 15Mbps on the T1 at my old job, over HTTP. Before that, 3Mbps over HTTP in Firefox on Gentoo, on my cable connection (listed above).

Still, none of this matters compared to the 30Mbps mentioned by someone else above… that I wish I had. :(

I have so far the slowest (except for the 4kbps guy) and no public IP address or port-forwarding, so most internet programs (bittorrent, webcam, Limewire etc..) either can't make a connection or get a shit one

100mbps, not sure what I pay because it's bundled with my t.v. and phone etc.

lol…. I highly doubt you have 100mbps for your internet speed. That is most likely your lan speed.

Anyways, mine varies from 5mbps to 10mbps. According to speedtest.net at the moment I have, 5.7mbps download and .5mbps upload. I pay $50 / month which is close to 25 british pounds.

I get usually around 3mb on a wired connection but on wireless i get a lot less at usually around 800kb to 1.5mb.

Mines not too bad. roughly $40 a month but bundled with phone service it comes up to more then that.

And if I'm going to London like you guys were…

ugh…. i get 60 kbps down

ghost's Avatar

I have 1.5mbits per sec download anf 256 kb upload so roughly around 150 KB per second downloading speed

oh and i pay $35 bucks a month, but im bundled with the company with my phone and mobile phone so yeh, but generally i get 50% of any of their plans so without my dicount it would be bloody expensive $70 a month.

Most of you have superb download speed! Me and few other can just wish greater speeds… I'm just curious, but do you "fast" guys (and girls too) have flat also? I don't have flat but if I have it would cost me about 38 € ( 1 Mbit/s, Flat)!!

You don't know how lucky you are!

Cheers
