The Slinker Incident.

After the slinker incident. I was thinking that we need to have some sort of way of stopping that. Any suggestions will be much apreciated. I am on this site enough i thought maybe myself and a select few could be given the power to take these posts offline? just a suggestion. Obviously some people might not want that. But ideas are open. P.S. I only screwed up slinkers OS :ninja:

the slinker incident was some idiot called slinker posted a thread with a bunch of answers to challs. So i rooted him but not before the damage was done.

ah fair enough.

umm yeah i might look into getting mod again, i rather liked it, especially since i read nearly everything that gets posted in the forums anyway.

Well the thread was up for about 5-10minutes before I removed it.

There isn't a time span long enough to worry so much.

People may abuse their privs or have their account hijacked etc….

Also, Anyone who cheats from such incidents get points removed and banned anyway so it's not worth getting bugged about just yet.

how can you tell if they cheated? cause i remember someone said someting was fishy about me doing two js in a couple of minutes

Javascripts can be done extremely quickly once you know the trick

How can you honestly know if someone cheated at a challenge?

I mean…obviously if there were someone who did every challenge that eh-hole posted the answers to…yeah they probably cheated. Can you know that for sure though?

I'm not sure if that's directed at me or not…but I guess I am worried. I'm worried because I don't want there to be a group of users on this website who've lost all their points or been banned because a mod decided they must have cheated. That's what worries me. Failing to do so will evidently mean you did not beat the challenge with your knowledge.

That's all I was asking. How you'd determine if they beat the challenge on their own. I wasn't being vindictive. Nor was I being paranoid. It was a legitimate question. My apologies if I offended you.

I am still feeling this site out. The sites that I hang out at have some of the most strict mods. They will ban someone for a simple "i" instead of "I". I like this site and would hate to see it degraded by children.

I know I am new but I think a set of rules that is enforced will go a long way.

mmmm good point Oh well it would of been cool to have modness anyway cause i see alot of bitching that goes on about something trivial. and there is only 4 people with admin powers you need more to ensure everyone is being covered.

TBH, if someone goes and posts all challenge answers, they should be banned. Although, if you went and rooted him, that just makes me laugh. I can't help but wonder where you got his IP?
