Hi ppl, I am new here =) and new into the "hackers world"
I am 17 and I am living in holland..but now I am asking myself how do I get a real "hacker" and where do I start. Most people say "learn how to program" but I dunnow wich language I tried c++ but it was a little to hard to start with so I thought about visual basic or php. The whole idea is to be a security expert or a hacker as my job.. I hope u people understand me and I didnt drink to much. I hope you people can help me start ..and maybe you ever will have a virus of me on your pc :p

When it comes to languages go from html, to javascript, to php,and then maybe c/c++ or perl, and then learn assembly. As for hacking, try and finish as many of the challenges here as you can. And when you get a better understanding of programing and computer systems, read "smashing the stack for fun and profit"(google it)Reading is the most important thing to do for now,if you have any other questions add me on msn, a-hackhbh@hotmail.com

Yea, the way I started was with HTML and javascript. Then I got into C and now assembly. Just remember to have fun and the only way to get good is to just keep reading, learning, and practicing.

First thing I started with was Flash. I did animations and games… when I started doing games, I got to know ActionScript. My first scripting language. It was amazing to make conditionis of program for me. I started with html much later. Then Javascript, Pascal, Python, PHP, PHP+MySQL, C… C was the most important language for me. It's perfect language. I also have a passive knowledge of assembler (for cracking). C could be "gr8" and "k00l", but just there where is any C compiler. I met may times with situation, when I needed some code to patch something or to set something up. I started learning VBS, WSH and WMI (all for Win32 platform). I need just notepad and I can easily create backdoors, task managers, rootkits, funny applications, service managers, etc.

hey i'm new too. But i learned HTML, and some javascript now i'm trying C++. i've quit like 6 times b.c it's hard but now i'm doing it and i'm alright. My advice is go to, www.smashthestack.org. and get a C++ for dummies ebook that's what i did and i haven't quit yet. i don't have a lot of patience either so that means that the ebook is easy to understand comes with sample codes too.

Ok, Thanks you =) but the next question is now : I learned at http://w3schools.com/ but how do I know when I am "finished" with html ? I followed all the html tutorials on that site.

When you feel you're fluent enough to be able to use it and understand it. Move on whenever you feel ready to.

you probably will be ok when you can code an entire website with things like guestbooks and stuff of your own creation without resorting to a wysiwyg editor
