Help with my PC

Ok, so I have a laptop that my mom used to own, so i formatted it and reinstalled windows and everything, and ever since i got it, the [Name] in Microsof Management System (Under System Tools/Local Users and Groups/Users) has a name that I do not want. I have read the help, and it says to right click on the user, click rename, type what you want, and hit enter. I did so, but it reverts back to the unwanted name…I am not sure what to do now, and would appreciate any and all (useful) help given.

I had the same problem i had some spair time so i just reinstalled windows and while i was running through the installer i just set everything like i wanted and it was fine but if that fails you can always use ubuntuu :happy:

Why do you need to know the name? And i have VMware with ubuntu..i just use it to go on sites with possible viruses…and is there a way i can change the name without reinstalling windows?
