PageFile: hard-drive turned into RAM.

Ok,

I hooked up my room-mates computer with a 5 gig PageFile which basically turn's that partition into RAM. How many people already knew of this because I been talking to alot of people and they didn't know anything of the such. Just wondering.

I can write something out if alot of y0u already didn't know.

Yeah but isn't it much slower then regular RAM… And would it work for two different partitions (Linux and Windows)

I don't feel that it is. I notice a dif. right away. But the cool thing is if you make a new partition and name is PageFile. Give yourself 2 gig's of Virtual Memory and try this out.
