Im infected with adware... I just cant get it out
Hi there, I have been infected with spyware. I get a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle on my tray. I get popups and message bubbles. They just won't get away. It has just popped up a message box saying:
"your system is probably infected with the latest version of spyware.cyberlog-x type: spyware infection length: 266,129 bytes risk: high systems affected: windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, 2003 server, Windows XP behavior: spyware.cyberlog-x is a spyware program that monitors user activity, logs keystrokes, and tracks websites visited. symptoms: Low internet connection speed Low system performance security center alerts strange popup windows Protection: Click OK to download antispyware software"
Upon seeing this I opened windows task manager, right clicked on "Critical system Warning!" and clicked on go to process - i found that the process was called pmsngr.exe. It uses 1,324k of memory. Please help, I hope I have given enought evidence…
p.s I clicked end process and it went away… but how long will it take for it to come back? is there a way to find where it is and quarintine and delete it?

Ok I'll try those thank you very much.
heres a list of programs that may be able to help you: Norton Antiviris (can be downloaded free from Google Pack) Ad-aware Spybot search and destroy Ewido I have all these, and they all find different problems everytime i run them. I reccommend getting them all. Also, try getting any avalable updates for your computer.
