Finding my friends ip....
Alright, my friend keeps asking me to hack into his computer to help him do things, and for that, of course, I look for his ip address. Now, he does ipconfig in cmd and when I ping it, I come up with nothing. When I use a VNC with his ip, I get nothing. He only lives like, 15 minutes from my place, so its shouldn't be a distance problem. I have tried a log file on a website, and it came up the same. I tried an ip lookup thing, and revieved no information. He doesn't have dial-up, so his ip doesn't change. I am 99.992 % sure he isn't running a website (I know this can effect it because I tested it quickly and could connect through my domain name, but couldn't get through) but how do I check his computer (or explain to him h ow to) for a server name? Also, just what the hell is going on with his ip???? I know I've heard something about the beginning of his ip (like it is false and not accepted) but I'm not sure if that was it. the beginning of his ip is 192.168.2.XXX
Make him go to www.ipchicken.com
Chances are he prob got wrong IP somewhere or sumfing… or maybe hes using a proxy :/

Make him go to the website and get his external IP address.
192.x.x.x are only accesible (If they're locla configs) by intranet terminals. An ip address like 92.251.56.123 is more close to an external IP address.
And may I suggest, if you lack the knowledge or experience for finding IP addresses, to read up about IP addresses and those specially reserved ones.
