The Annoying things

When the support cannot help you…

Two days ago my dear computer (whom I now know hates me, veery much) started doing things it shouldnt do. It all started when I was playing CoD2 online and it suddenly crashed. "Error code blah blah blah memory blah blah blah" I though, well ok… annoying, lets just restart the computer. So I did. Rebooted and fine I thought I should chat a bit, so I started MSN messanger.. bling "Error code, blah blah blah" Great… I thought, lets just search google for the solution! So I open firefox, nothing special here, type the error code in the google search thingy and press enter. BANG ERROR CODE AGAIN! Right now I was getting really annoyed, it was late and I was rather tired, so I rebooted once again… when almost at the final step of loading Windows it wanted to do a CHKDSK, so I thought, ok.. it cant do things worse I spose. Well, it all went fine and I started up firefox again. Bang, same problem.. So I tried to do the same thing with IE and heureka, it worked! (some kind of conspiracy?) but.. I got nothing that was of any help from google.

Now I suspected the worse, when google doesnt help you… you can just wait for the anniholation of something.

So I ONCE again restarted the computer and again, it wanted to do a CHKDSK.. I said, ok and let it do its thing. The funny part was that it started to delete about ALL of my indexing and when I came to the desktop it seemed as if the color was set to 16 and with a really low resolution + there was no icons or anything. Ok! ctrl+alt+delete -> new procces -> explorer.exe BANG! "There are nothing associated with explorer.exe go to the control panel and do something there. Ok, thats really easy without anything to go to!

Now Im super annoyed.. I start the computer with safe mode+CMD and try to type start control panel (or something), didnt work offcause so I ctrl+alt+delete new proccess "control panel" BANG same message, go to control panel and do something.. … WELL WHAT DO YOU THINK IM TRYING TO DO!!

2 days later ive managed to somehow delete something in the windows dir and the only thing I get is a bluescreen after loading windows.

I had to reinstall (and format) the computer, losing a lot of stuff that i want. and finally, I get a brand new desktop WITH ICONS!!! (win 2kpro however) GREAT!! Now lets just get internet going and start downloading drivers and stuff… "the program lsass.exe has done something incredibly stupid and window s needs to be restarted… restarting in 60sec…" ok… when I have FINALLY managed to fix things SOMETHING else goes TERRIBLY wrong and I feel as if the computer hates me and will do until I'm dead. and I have 60 sec after each reboot to find out what..

12 or something reboots later… Ok! IVE GOT SASSER! WOOHOO!

I felt like ive finally been cured of cancer and when I leave to hospital I a nurse taps me on the back, tries to look sad and says… "Excuse me… but our test shows us that you have got AIDS"

Ive fixed the problem now, I think.

My question is, is there any other ppl at HBH who have had theese nightmare days?

Sounds to me like you had a virus or a corrupted driver.

My friends laugh at me. They skip around me in circles chanting 'BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH' because I got that once. They still haven't let it go.

BSoD…Yes I have had days like that. mostly on my laptop which had windows ME on it (damn comaqs) I was messing around in the directories looking at all the 'fun' parts of windows and poof BSoD…

Okay Windows ME…no biggie…reboot. Playing again…POOF…again…so I reboot again. and it BSoD on me on boot. so what do i do? brand new laptop…take it back to the store…complain to the idiots who work there…get a free upgraded Toshiba. with Win2K and more RAM!!! w00t!

that was ages ago. now I have 5 computers running Linux and XP… but yes BSoD…Been there…done that…got the T-Shirt…

and yes Cheese…Dancing around singing BSoD is a common thing like you said…in a windows world ;)

Bleh… BSoD is for Win95/98, Stop Screen is NT. At least that's how I usually go by it. I could be wrong though =\
