new site!

hey check out my site - www.thinkingaboutforever.co.nr. I'm thinking about putting in a guestbook but they're pretty hackable…any suggestions?

1. Get a real domain.
2. You seem to have a good grasp over css/html, but you need to think a little more about overall design. Here is an artistic aspect to webdesign.
3. Don't instantly assume a guestbook is 'hackable.' It isn't difficult to write one yourself in Ruby or Perl that won't mess anything up or be vulnerable. Plus, considering very few beginners, such as the main audience of HBH, spend the time learning these and hacking concepts to follw them.

Only thing I can say is that the layout/design is rather sucky.

Hey that aint such a bad site :) If you realy want something you can trust its best to make it yourself. Bit you can always ask some hackers here to try the safety of some GuestBook.

ps. making this yourself is realy fun and makes you understand abit more the the code you will hack self some day ;)

Not everyone can afford a 'real' domain. Plus, HBH started out as a Yahoo group and then went to a Tokelau domain, then they got a donation I believe (maybe you could donate some money so that he can get a real domain?) Some people have the money to get real domains but have no way of getting the money online. As for the actual website, I agree with everyone else, the layout does need a bit of work, maybe temporarily raise the top part a bit and make that 'heart' logo smaller, there isnt much room for the overall content with that thing taking so much space up. Also, the background gets a bit old. You should try to get some more content up, from what I've seen you have a fairly good array of content, it just needs more. Try making something unique so more people will be attracted to your website, maybe a section offering tutorials that are hard to find on the web? Or a links section that is not filled with those stupid ipod referrals maybe (no offense, I'm just getting way too tired of seeing those greedy fools make money while these people pay so much so that they can get something that the other guy could get two of because of all the ads he forces you to wade through.) Anyway, with a little work your site could end up being pretty good, it just needs some more content and a bit of modification to the layout and maybe a change of background is in order. 01001100001110000111001001111010

and no not all guestbooks are hackable, mine for example is free of hacking, i hacked proof it and wud be glad to share the source with u :)

Wow, thanks a lot guys. Especially those of you who contributed ideas, etc. instead of just "it sucks" or something. ;) I will keep this in mind and continue to work on it. and haykuro, I might take you up on that guestbook if I have time to put it on. :) thanks again for all your input!!
