All Australian users about to be cut off HBH
Steven conroys new legislation plans to ban urls from questionable sites. These sites include mostly illegal content such as drugs, bombs Making and certain porn. However they will also be adding any sites that show ways around the filter will also be black listed. HBH deffinatly falls into that catagory. Basically Australia will soon become silenced by it's goverment.

They're banning google?! WTF!?! How am I supposed to find my drugs, bombs making and certain porn?! Oh, right, yea, Australia. Phew. Thought I'd have to rely on MoshBat from now on.

Now everyone suffers. And damn gays as well. Why can't they just fuck the opposite sex like normal people do. Now everyone suffers. Oh wait, shit! We're supposed to be tolerant, my bad. Sorry.

Well school children are generally using proxies, which are likely going to be included in the blacklist. School blacklists commonly don't bother to be kept up to date and as a result miss a lot of proxies, however something as big as a government setup is going to be much different. TOR is really the only reliable option, and the problem with that is that most of the "general" computing community doesn't know anything about TOR, and they aren't going to learn easily with most of the download sites blocked (I would imagine they would be). Sure, a hacker who is familiar is going to still manage to get it installed and ran without a hitch, but most new users to the hacking scene don't exactly share the same type of knowledge. So that is cutting off a lot of the "new" hackers from ever hoping to reach HBH, which can commonly be a good place to get started in hacking.
Not to mention that this also affects a lot of other people in a plethora of ways.
Yeh its pretty scary shit being an Australian that likes the Interweb. the basic idea of the filter is to get the internet on the same page as TV or movies and radio. Apparently the filter is really easy to bypass. also ive heard that once the black list hits 10,000 URL's its going to really slow down the internet and the government have no tec solutions to fix this.
On a sinister note. This Steven Conroy guy is prob going to get assassinated, and I'm going to laugh.
And moshbat got a Emma Watson centerfold hookup?
