l33t H4x0r chix
always a sensitive topic, but always interesting to view the responses.
I find that there is a real lack of balance in terms of woman in IT, and even more so in the specialist IT space. Security being one of them.
How many members of the feminine type (gay's excluded :)) are in the information security space, and how many are of :ninja: status (I mean l33t status, not islamic status. no offence)?
As a man, i must start by, doing what all men find themselves doing, and defend myself by saying, THIS IS NOT SEXIST OR SEXUALLY MOTIVATED, although if anyone wants to post pics of their favourite h4x0r babe (for research), i will let it slip as:
- evidence or
- a wish list… B)

What kind of answer are you expecting to get from this? An exact figure of the amount of women in IT security across the whole world? You've already answered your question by saying 'I find that there is a real lack of balance in terms of woman in IT, and even more so in the specialist IT space. Security being one of them'. Perhaps there is..but who cares about gender, really?
