Skiddy??
I think most people here hate script kiddies…I wish to ask a few questions bout this: 1.)Am I a Skiddy if I use premade programs for basic cryptanalysis like freq. distributions or to break down SAM files in windows?? 2.)How can I avoid becoming one??
Forgive me if these are stupid questions.
[You are right..details are useless]
I assume this is a more appropriate post for the forum…

Forgive me if these are stupid questions. Your questions arent stupid at all.

Well, I guess most hackers use some tools that others have coded. For example; if I wanted to crack a SAM file I'd rather use an existing application than code my own. However there are those who can't come up with anything on their own and who really depend on other people's work in order to do anything, but still think they're hackers. Those are definately skiddies in my opinion.

Learn to code, develop some stuff on your own, seek more knowledge than you actually "need" to perform your hacks. Setup Apache with PHP and MySQL on your computer and learn to find exploits and vulnerabilities in some CMS:es on your own.

I don't really get what you mean; but you're saying there's an annoying skiddie who has a big friend…? If you can, just ignore him. If not, please explain this problem more in detail ^^

No you are not a Script Kiddie. You are someone learning. All you need to do is figure out what the tools you use are actually doing (no I am not talking "they decrypt the SAM file"). Once you know the primes to what is happening, you can then further your knowledge by learning all you can about what you are trying to do. To avoid being a SK you need to read and know.

Tell the guy to go fuck himself the next time he trys that…tell him that without your help he is nothing but a punk Script Kid! perhaps show him what a SK is, show him how much of one he is, tell him that without his "gorilla man" behind him he would be nothing but a loser? I cannot give you tips about "rep" because "rep" has no meaning. it means shit in real life. If you are very concerned about rep then you are not reputable. If you are trying to get girls through rep then they are the wrong type of girl…If you are trying to look cool through rep you are a moron. What you need to do is be good at what you do and finish the work you get given. In real life you do not get off from not doing a project because you have a good rep…you get a "here's your final pay now GTFO".
Please do not think I am slighting you but the girl you are trying o to win over is most likely not worth your while man.
If you really want [shamelessadvert]Nominate your looser buddy for a SKotY[/shamelessadvert]
Dear hellboundhackers
I'm 15 yr old girl, who's been dating a boy for a year. I think I am now ready to take to next step, but still I am scared. I've never done it before and sume of mi friends say it hurts a little for the first time. Also I want it to be special for both of us. Do you think I am ready or should wait?

LOL! Post of the day, definitely.
Yeah..I never asked for advise or anything….all I wanted to know was if there was something more I could do(something more I could to as in something more I could hack)…. *The line "I dont want a psychiatrist's no." which was in my Original post should have clarified that…I merely added the "trash" details cause Uber0n asked for details and I thought that he wanted that info……
An interesting technique I've found that gives alot of experience is to set up two home computers, and simply try to hack one from the other. Build up security as best you can on the computer your trying to hack (computer A), preferably with your own software and code, and try to hack in with computer B using your own software. You'll gain alot of knowledge in a short amount of time, on building and destabilizing security. Eventually you'll run out of ideas, in which case use someone elses software to test your offense or the other way around. Then switch computers, using computer A to attack computer B. At the end your system will be a little slower, but other then that you gain alot of knowledge and skill. Setting up a website is easy, this kinda thing takes a more intense way to do. You cant just nuke the system your attacking because its your system, so it teaches you to be subtle as well. As for the rep part…humanity in itself and by its own definition is insane. Why would you give a damn what they have to say?

Also, I believe you meant "I've inserted a Live CD into the CD tray and pressed the start button on a school computer. I seriously can't believe that my school hasn't disabled LM hashing, hah"

That's cute. First you say his questions aren't stupid, now, when hell broke loose, you smite him down like he is a mere worthless peasant.
Despicable.

Despicable. At first he just had those three questions, and I think it's good that a beginner wants to avoid becoming a skiddie. However he edited his post later on and boasted about cracking all his school's systems, and that's seriously lame.
I wrote a new reply because he edited his post, but I suppose you didn't comment my answers because you really wondered but rather because you for some reason want to bug me.
lets swallow all our pride and leave this mess behind baby.
In my opinion, SK simply don't know what they are doing. My mom finally learned how to work a vcr a month ago, does that make her a skiddy? No, because she has a decent grip on reality, she knew what she wanted to do in that situation, and she doesn't have a problem with learning/reading. There's a lot of ground in the hacking world that I still haven't covered/touched, does that make be a skiddie? I have 295 points on my HBH account though! Who cares, really? Anyone? No.
For a while, my problem with learning/hacking was that I would over-think everything. Reality + thinking = perspective. I was missing the reality part and I needed to focus on my life. Just do what you know needs to be done.

IMO, you should read, learn, read, and practice some search engine optimization techniques instead of spamming.
I'm real sorry that I boasted…that was real stupid and shameless of me…post edited.. Actually..my doubts were answered in the very first reply(Thanks Uber0n)…. so.. 1.)do I delete this thread?? 2.)how exactly can I delete this thread??? @Aldarhawk:Great advise!!!
