Most uninteresting part from the whole interview. Yay, we can bend light.

Anyway, this technique will be rendered a little bit more useless when we finally get our vision-optimising implants.

Video was due to the fact that he really did nothing. If he at least showed what it did it would make more sense.

Very true, without video proof.. It is bogus. Not bogus because I believe it could be done, however I know nothing of Micro-radiation. Well, if you find video proof please bump this up. Later.

ive herd about this a few years back, a friend of mine was telling me about it, and then i didnt really give a crap about it, and i still dont, whats the point? to spy on someone?? OOO SPYING, you perv >_> XD so yeah i dont see a point in being invisable? plus it sounds kinda complicated.

Your thinking just for yourself. Think about other things you can do if it is possible. It would be pretty amazing to see.

true, but what would be the good side to it? and you also got to think about the damage it could cause :(

We went over this already guys. We've discussed the whole ethics thing in Spider-man and a million other comic book franchises already.

Cease this discussion, please.

There can be a lot of good things through it. There can also be a lot of bad things through it too. It's just how you choose to use it.

@spyware - if he has something to say regarding the topic, i would love to hear his opinion. So can you please let it be.

im just saying, i don't see any good in it, other then entertainment, and by entertainment i mean magic tricks. but think about it it'd have a whole new level of spying, people would become so paranoid, and everything would be so messed up XD sorry i cant think right now, but i feel its bad XD im going to go to bed soon

If you watched the video, im guessing you will need a special type of equipment. and i doubt that it would be that cheap. Some people will be paranoid. But once you are out of the radius of the area, you will be seen again. So spying can still be an issue if you try to spy.

Michio Kaku wrote a book called Hyperspace. It's a little outdated but it's still VERY interesting. It's about time travel and galactic civilizations and what not. Highly recommended to anyone interested in physics.

As for this video, the concept is fairly old and we are still quite a long journey away from invisibility "cloaks"…

Yeah we are still far from invisibility. We are still far from a lot of discovery. And this is one of them.

Well we would need to take into account that if we developed a "shield" or a cylinder to bend this visible light around and other than cutting holes to see out of… Making your clearly visible, we.. Meaning they, would need to take mobility into account. How would we move? How would the visibility maintain being bent around a object in motion? Beyond decades of work. Which is a GOOD thing. If you disagree, please explain good usage? This is only beginning. Enter the world of the new unknown.

i agree with you. as i was saying earlier, that it would probably need something to keep you invisible, so how big is that object going to be. You wont be able to move from the spot you are in.

Yes like for example, say there was a drone.. Or like a unmanned small aircraft in which would bend light behind it and a fighter jet trails it in which makes it invisible.. This is not likely to happen but I am making a point across that there would need to be a constant "bender" if you will. Eventually satellites but either way. Not in our lifetime, all we would be able to do is contribute to the methodology and ideology of the technique. And therefore, I do not want in. This would not be for the greater good. Would NOT. If you can support how it could be… Then I would love to demoralize you a bit. In other words, you may be too much of an Nationalist. I love my country… More-so, the idea of it.

Are you guys all drunk or something? Seriously, none of you really make sense.

I doubt that will ever happen in out time.

What are you trying to say here?

On the nationalist side, I am stating that I like the idea of being a free American country. However with the times changing we are being less free and more of a label of being free. Not that were not free, but times our changing. Obviously. Nationalist meaning you may believe if your Country has this technology you could own another country becoming world Dominate. Soon to become one dominate nation per Continent. Meanwhile Britain will go back to the old days and pretty much rule the world. But somehow the US surprises people and well, World War III could be more intense than we thought. But with Einsteins theory, "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." Still stands true.

I see. That kinda had no point in regarding the topic but w/e.

well anyways if you disagree with me that you don't need a balance of both then post a reply stating why. :)
