hacking movie list

Which movies actually have accurate hacking though? Like using good tools and such, not just the lingo?

Too late, now.

Meh, I was gonna lock it, then I realized the question could still be answered. I doubt any of them really are accurate, but I haven't seen them all so I cant really say. Plus, I'm kind of curious, too. Next time try not to take 2 months to find the thread, deal?

Some of them could be accurate. "War Games" as stupid and blown out of proportion as is it is, it is really kind of accurate. He social engineered the password (by thinking like the person who made it). He also did war-dialing which was quite accurate. Maybe the effects are inaccurate, but the way he did it, is pretty accurate. Also, if you think about the Matrix, you have Trinity that did a really realistic hack.
