Script Kiddie
Just as the Subject reads, this post is about Script Kiddies…Not the ones that you say "That guy hacked my site…what a douche…he must be a Script Kiddie." I am talking about the ones that are 100% reliant on other peoples tools and programs to do their "hacking". People who hack without knowledge.
I run a site (as many of you most likely know) that aims to slow the growth of this parasite of the internet. SKotY is aimed at increasing awareness of who around us is a Script Kiddie. If you sign up you can post your nominations for the winner this year (and all subsequent years). We also just started advertising with Progenic Top 100 so your vote can go a long way.
Sign up now at http://www.skoty.org and help slow the disease on the internet that is spreading at a great rate. Slow the users who do not want to know what they are doing just that they "can" do it.

How many discussions about Script Kiddies and blatant advertisements for skoty.org do we have to have before a link pops up somewhere on the site instead of ANOTHER thread? Or, hey, better yet… just leave it in your sig and post something that actually contributes to the community instead of yourself.

Wow I thought I was the only one that thought that way. I have seen this same stuff (blatant advertisement) in other threads. Also I personally think the whole idea is pretty lame. What does it prove? That some guy (that you don't know and will never see in real life) is a script kiddie. My question is who cares. I also believe last time this whole thing did not work out to good for you. The guy you and others voted as a "script kiddie" rooted your site.
Okay first off Zephyr I have contributed more than you bloody well think to this site, but think what you want to. Also I start new ones as to not beat a dead horse back to life as so many people bitch about. You can think what ever the hell you want about me, I could care less.
Mr_Cheese's nomination was made by Hack4u. how does that make my site not real? it is a NOMINATION does not mean he wins. Mr_Cheese has no problem with it (he is actually excited he may win an award if I remember correctly) so why do you white_cell?
Anyways, I help this community out a lot (not so much lately as I have been very busy) and if you do not agree, ask system, richo, spyware, mr_cheese and many other older members. I have been hanging on this site for over three years now helping out where people need it. Mr_Cheese said I could make these posts to advertise my site. So please understand that this is not just YOUR site…it is everyones site and this is posted in OFFTOPIC for a reason.
Anyways, that is my rant…Flame on!

The fact that the novelty effect gives a good laugh is not questionable. So, there, we can at least agree.

Helped, not help. I've been here for over two years myself, so I have seen you help in the past… if I hadn't, I probably would've flamed instead of just saying as I did. Anyways, no one said that this is MY site; if I hadn't spoken up to say anything at all about it, no one would've done so because most people are afraid to. Obviously, I'm not the only one with the opinion that I expressed, and I wanted to get it out there on the table.

Anyways, I run this site to help others, HBH is a part of the web I like to better. I would like there to be no "how do you h4x0r Hotmail" on here any more, This site can help that if used correctly. That is why I post about it here…to help the community. Also Help is not always seen on the surface. I get countless PMs asking for help that I give. Ask the ones who send them,
Anyways, you should check out the site and perhaps nominate a few people :)

At 50+ hours a week at work and having a family to tie up most of my time, I know better than most how busy it can get. :) I understand that you've been busy, though.

I agree that it can if used correctly. I will check out the site and see if there's any way we can use it properly for that goal. Also, your examples are a prime example of why we need proper forum rules, so thank you for bringing that up. I can add that to the list.

Point well taken. Hopefully, we can inspire those people to post in the forums with their questions so that the community can help and learn from it as a whole.

I am trying to get actual script kiddies up there.
The reason Cheese is there is because he has not complained and asked me to remove it. If he did I would gladly remove it knowing full well that he is not a SK by the definition of it at all. He does things that many people disagree with (all who know what i speak of know…) but who the hell does not do things that piss a bunch of others off?
Anyways, I hope you all understand what this site is truly geared towards and contribute to your best ability.
Thank you all for the criticism (constructive AND destructive) and I am glad there are some out there wanting to stop the spread.
