i was checking my emails and i got this

EPPICard Account status: Suspended Service status: Freezed

This security notice is to advise you that a unsucsesfull Password Reset was recently attempted on your account. If you are unaware of these changes, please restore your EPPICard account right now using using the folowing link :
http://www.eppicard.com/edc/siteRestoreClient Thank you for using EPPICard

the thing is i don't have one of these things so i'm like hmm phishing so i check out the site and i was like ohh yea this has to be fake. so i look up in the URL and remove the /greymatter/eppi/ and its some class reunion website.

http://emtmalumni.org/greymatter/eppi/

the reason i posted this is because i just wanted your thoughts on the subject

really its generic. check out the source. you see alot of <img src=http://www.eppicard.com's

and look at the source for the login field. it only has to be a certain length. so enter

Username: aaaaaaa Password: aaaaaa

and it will send you to another page saying that it found your account and that it is currently suspended. it also asks you your

name SSN card number ATM pin# full birth date

and other things.

i just can't see how people can honestly be tricked by this but i bet thier making plenty off of it.

yeah, I heard some rumors that a lot of the phishing sites were run by SKiddies. I heard that they often get the source from the programmers, the SK distribute, and then the programmers get their cut.

It was in a Black Hat seminar sumary. Some guys traked them by using a list zone-alarm or something.

And I make it a habit of not playing around on obviously corrupted sites. You probably should too. Just seems creepy, that's all. Like, bad vibes an all.

I get that crap all the time. "You won 50,000 dollars shit" It's fun to go to thier link and enter messed up stuff to screw with them. Got a few with E-bay to so watch out for that one, It will ask for your pay-pal password.

Yeah, those are good. Then, there's always John or Sally from MySpace that wants to add me, when I don't even have one.
