Something really strange just happened. A month ago I installed my current os (windows vista ultimate 32 bit ripped) and activated it using one of those crappy activators from torrent-finder.com but the last 3 days the entire system locked up leaving me only the choice to activate it.I couldn't do much (browse the files from internet explorer) but today when i left my computer for about 5 minutes without touching it the activation thing disappeared no quota issues no sudden log off no nothing just four messages saying something about access denied when opening a .dll file can anybody post a link to a real windows activator??? (malicious software wont help). BTW VISTA SP1 SUCKS DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! ––––––––––––––––––––––––––/ FORGOT: THOSE .DLL FILES ARE VIRUSES TROJAN A BIT O CONFUSED:xx:

i don't know whether to laugh or cry.

you're using a pirated copy of Windows, and you wonder what went wrong.

Yeah i would say it has to do with the fact that its pirated .

Theres a rumor that Microsoft has some secret files in Windows Xp that allow them to access your computer . I wouldnt doubt it , mainly for situations like this . Where they can see that someone is using a pirated version of there software they can get in and change some registrys so you have to activate it . But when and if you actualy went to activate it you probably would get a window that said something like "Windows has detected this is an illegal version of windows vista . Please purchase a registered copy to proceed" .

I think about the only thing you could try is setting the computer back to a previous date with system restore (asuming you have done this) . If this doesnt work somethings definately wrong . I would then try to redo the install by just writing over the original or formating and reinstalling vista . I would also suggest a good security suite that would hopefully block microsoft from getting in , by setting the security suite to admin priveleges during install . So that it warns you of all actions out of the ordinary . Dont accept any microsoft updates or installs from external sources . Be warned : if you leave your local area connection open and leave your computer unatended you may have windows updates process themselves . Even when i have it set that all windows updates are to be approved prior to install they have installed anyways .

I have gotten strange windows update windows that say something to the effect that if i dont hit a perticular button windows will begin an update in 30 seconds . Not much of an aproval choice there is it !?

I'M ACTUALLY WONDERING WHY A PIRATED VERSION OF WINDOWS ACTIVATED ITSELF WHEN OTHERS GIVE 600$ TO BUY IT…

My guess is the " crappy activator / key gen program " . He didnt get the right authorization codes from the key gen that work with the software . Then the built in features detect this and give a short amount of time to fix this problem or apply to activate it . Ive seen similar situations .
