DNS??

Are the DNS' going haywire or is it just me? A lot of sites (one of my own) and others where I know there is in fact a server running there, aren't connecting correctly. I could be completely wrong about this but it's been going on for quite some time and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it? A lot of webmasters I know have been talking about DNS problems having to change SQL to not use DNS etc to keep a site running.

If you look at the screen shot (which is probably huge, sorry guys) it is in fact retrieving data, it's just not doing something correctly. It forwarded me to reference.dictionary.com and I only typed in dictionary.com, it hasn't been until recently that I've noticed this. Anyone know what's up with it? Is the internet growing too large for our current systems to handle it, or are hackers behind it?

I continue getting this error with some queries on some pretty big sites. Any webmasters in particular having trouble with DNS and SQL? Anyone know why the queries aren't hitting?

There's lots of sites and it happens pretty randomly. I get it on a daily basis now, many sites I frequent will gives DB errors because SQL is trying to use the DNS and it doesn't work. That's definitely not the only site that's been effected, myspace and youtube (big ones I can think of) I notice have been as well.

Did you try to flush your dns?

does it do that with other web browsers or on a different computers?

I was wondering if something could have been downloaded without you knowing. a browser hijacker or something like it.

It used to happen to me too, i noticed it started occurring after i had installed the mega upload tool bar :ninja: and it only happened on Firefox.I uninstalled the tool bar but it still kept happening.Well it went away when i removed firefox then installed it again. :happy:
