Torrent Tracing?

this is just a rumor i heard but i was curious to how possible it would be. My friend recently informed me that they are lacing torrent trackers with actual trackers and i was wondering if this was possible and if there was a way they could track torrent downloading. cuz i mean i run my Browser through a different proxy then my client and i daily change my WAN IP so are there extra things to do to stay safe?

also

what about Rapidshare and other file hosting websites?

Yeah…ive heard that too…as far as im concerned thats BS. But idk..i don't use torrents to much aside from Limewire to DL music. U seem to be taking good precautions though..thats about as much as you can do.

yes they do track torrent trackers and log IP's of anyone downloading.

often how the RIAA catch people.

theres a program called PeerGuardian that can aid you in not being traced. PeerGuardian has a list of IP ranges used by the evil companies that trace you.. and all it simply does is stop you downloading from their machine, thus you arent logged.

hope that helps.

I've heard good things about PeerGuardian, but haven't tried it as I don't torrent often. Next time I do, I'll check it out.

He's talking about torrents. I hope you got the whole "I download I share" principle, if not, get the fuck off our torrent sites.

well, nobody can't ever prove that you shared him the whole movie… you share just parts, part of art is own art, that's our law ;-)
