I can't say she didn't deserve it, though. You missed the one night when she and yours31f literally posted random shit. They were banging their heads against the keyboards and posting it, so they could get an higher post count and increase their rank. But jeez, what's she at now, -140 or something? That's gotta be a new record.
I never 'hack' people because they don't understand, or when they flame. I do it when they do something stupid. Giving out false info, spamming and asking specifically for answers are just a few of the cases that piss me off. Mostly, though, I just ignore the rating system. It's there if someone really helps me or bothers me, other than that though…
But I do agree, people tend to look at the help as their 'right'. They believe we (you, considering I'm still fairly new) should help them, and if we don't, then they bash us. If we do, then they get their points and go on their merry way, completely forgetting about how they were completely lost before our help.

Although in about .1% of the cases that's not most painfree way, I agree. Never had to reinstall, never will. 'Cept that time a dude's hd had a couple bad, irreparable sectors… had to completely reformat that :\

well it was -153 but now i got it to -152.
@futility i would say i deserved some hacks but not 152 of them.
@korg i don't think it was alot of people just spyware mostly. i notice every time i post something (even when it's actually useful) i lose more. and it's only when ever spy posted in the thread i was posting in,

i've seen plenty of good posts from spyware. [/quote]
Well, I haven't honestly. But I'm sure he does more than be a condescending bitcher, but the ratio of condescending bitches versus his helpful posts are pretty wide. Not that I really care about any of that tho :pB)

Just because he doesn't write it with sugar coated words.. doesn't mean it's not helpful.
Well i agree, althou Spyware can be a pain in the ass, ha most of the time seems to actually have a point on what he's writing… Good ones aswell :P Points = Well earned.
And about the Point System; Yeah i agree, i thought this would happen aswell when i wrote it, althou it would be great to make this thing work.
I'm thinkin of some kind of spam protection maybe, anybody has any ideas on this? I'l make a new thread and you guys/girls can post there if you ahve any decent ideas.
Peace!
spyware has an amusing tendancy to make seemingly worthless posts that have a hidden meaning to them. they simultaneously convey that meaning, and teach people to think beyond their first impression.
and i like when people arent afraid to speak their minds. you learn better from someone who doesnt sugar coat things.
Wow, I actually post about 20 help topics and I'm down to -21… You're right, these newbies are haters… Ah well, screw them… If they feel like making a big deal out of everything then perhaps I should answer every PM I get with a screw you as well.
Don't get me wrong, I could care less about something so frivelous as points, it's just the symbolic nature of such as they indicate that apparent;y they could care less for my help. Cna someone make a requirement of at least 20 posts to rank a post? It's getting ridiculous
the only reason i care about the cp points is becasue when the system first came out i read something saying that if you go to low they'll ban you or give you a warn so i've been keeping my mouth shut. the bad part is sometimes i actually know what i'm saying but i'm saying anything becasue i don't want to go to like -1000000000000000000.
oh and the news thing says you only have to have 1 cp.
i'm tring to make useful post but i still get shot at for that to.
watch after this post it'll be -160.
i'm just going to stop caring eventually but for now i gues i'll try and watch what i say
Why, Fuck the haters. Points, cp points mean nothing I like coming here and helping people who deserve it. Nothing better than helping someone out. I been here for over 2 yrs and like helping people, Don't like me, WELL then eat me.

Only exclusive members can give community points in all forums. For us normal/mortal users I believe it's limited to the Computer General section of the forums.
And also, I think the community point system is a good idea. We just have to make sure we really vote when people post very good or bad stuff ;)
